Crazy how low halo infinite steam numbers are

I didn't even know this show was still going! I used to love it back in the day, and some of my friends still quote the early seasons to each other on occasion.

@TheSimulator I'd rather replay the original or Reach in the MCC instead of Infinite.

I remember spending an entire summer during high school binging through all the seasons (which at the time were around a dozen or so). It was so much fun and I enjoyed the show until it became harder to follow. It's crazy seeing how much it's evolved from being completely in-game to more cinematic.

I'm glad that they're trying to end the show on a high note when taken into consideration how terrible the company has become now. For people who don't know, Rooster Teeth has been involved in so many scandals and tons of fans have stopped following them. A lot of key employees have also left and thus, the company has become a shell of its former self. The quality of their content has drastically gone down and they're only getting a fraction of the views they tend to get on their videos today.

So hopefully the final season turns out good but I'm not surprised that the company's most important show is coming to an end when the company itself isn't doing too hot right now.

Never understood why it's still around. After few episodes I found the show stale, repetitive, boring, overrated, and just overall waste of time.

Anyone else feel the same? Or really still enjoy to this day, watching every episode?

@LtSarge Didn't that wannabe Alanah Peirce go there trying to cash in on her average looks and when people bought in to she was a gamer?

I'd place her as lower tier Felicia Day. And that's honestly saying something. Both were flashes in pan and have zero relevance today.

I only saw the first season way back when and loved it, wonder if I should spend the week at work catching up. Guessing they've made a ton of these over 20 years.

@Retron whenever my mates are tagging a lift from me, you still hear "Shotgun" "Shotgun (*****)" from them.

It's pretty crazy that this series has been going on for 20 years. Regardless of the shady stuff apparently going down at Rooster Teeth, I'll always have fond memories of the first 4 seasons of RvB (I dropped off around season 9, might look to revisit soon).

It is kind of funny how such basic animated series "around the Halo universe" has been going on for so long while the new P+ TV show with 90 million dollars in budget got lambasted to hell and back by critics and fans alike.
Meanwhile the games from 1-3 in MCC are being played more than Infinite apparently. The franchise is stuck in a place where neither the old fans support it nor new fans are added to it. I wonder how much longer before Xbox etc decide it is time to sunset the whole thing.

Steam numbers are down a lot. It’s true. But the game is mostly played on Xbox consoles and the Xbox PC app, so it doesn’t tell the full story.

Still a shame though as I really am enjoying the game week in week out. Not sure why people hate on it so much.

@Kienda I'd like the game more if I actually had something to work for. The battle pass isn't much of a reward honestly. A great game for sure, I just haven't felt like there's any reason to play more than one or two matches at a time

@GuyinPA75 The series is near and dear to a lot of people. It's an amazing series. Except for season 18 (the most recent season) the new crew really had no clue what they're doing. But if we're getting the original writers and director back, then it'll be awesome.

@Retron I don't get the hate for Infinite. It's literally just an updated Halo game. It's a great game with great feeling gameplay. Yes, the devs have not delivered on their promise of content but it's not as bad as BF2042 or CoD. And that's coming from a long time CoD player.

The players that want to stay in MCC can, but I tried. It was terrible. Definitely did not have the same feel as the original games. Horrible connection, hard to use UI. I played the campaigns and wow, the CE campaign was clunky and just confusing to navigate.

@Jenkinss To date there's 18 seasons and a couple of mini series. If you don't mind reaction content I suggest checking out MurderOfBirds on YT. His reactions are great and he's slowly catching up with RvB.

@AshKirin19 I just started BF2042 and I'm having a decent time of it. It isn't like the old BFs but it's still pretty fun. From what I've read it's improved a lot since launch.

imho people can be far too critical of FPS games in general.

All I know is Ive played Halo Infinite since launch and never had a problem getting a match or a stable connection. So even if the steam numbers are low there are definetly a lot of players out there. Oh, and did I mention the game is actually fun? And it keeps improving? I like that!

Yeah. I don't know why people keep using Steam number as the definitive player count for game when there are multiple ways to play the game. Plus, PC gamers don't tend to stick to one particular game unless it insanely popular. Right now, the new big game is Battlebit Remastered. Or if the game has a heavy modding community which probably why MCC still has a player base on PC.
