Ahead of the Mortal Kombat 1 release this September, NetherRealm has been revealing new and returning fighters. In an update today, it's lifted the lid on the game's Kombat Pack Roster - confirming the fighters included in this DLC.
After some rumours, Homelander from 'The Boys' has been officially confirmed. He will be joined by Peacemaker (DC) and Omni-Man (Invincible). There will also be some returning Mortal Kombat characters including Quan Chi, Ermac and Takeda.
Homelander is set to arrive in Spring 2024 with the game launching this year on 19th September 2023.
Alongside this, fans were also treated to another story trailer - this time focusing on Li Mei. Apart from her, it's been confirmed Tanya and Baraka will be returning as playable fighters. In addition to this, Goro and Darrius have been confirmed as Kameo fighters who will assist players in battle.

If you're going to have the nerve to announce your DLC before the game is out, turn a few heads with it all least! (Not spandex with everyone is tired of the *****!)

Talk about not caring in the slightest about withholding content which should be included to begin with..
After MK 11’s DLC roster, this is a little… underwhelming, to say the least. Definitely not interested, even though I’ve got the base game preordered.
Hubris or trying to shoot themselves in the foot? I remember Street Fighter v Tekken getting hammered for this back in the day.
@BANJO @Ichiban I may be misreading the article, but the DLC is being revealed now but the first character wont be available until Spring 2024, while the game is launching this September.
I think it makes sense for them to reveal what is going to be in the DLC pack ahead of time, if they want to sell the full season pack ahead of time. Not everyone has the rep Smash Bros has developed where players will preorder character packs without knowing what will be on them.
I hope there is another pack down the road, there is room for more non-mk characters that fit the current guest theme. I could see Spawn making a return, or DC's Ultraman.
So, um..I'm going to be that person to say the obvious about what's missing.
I see Homelander, Peacemaker, and Omniman..and I'm good with that.
I see 3 old characters that have to be paid for, not already in the game, with Ermac, Quan Chi, and Takeda.
No females?
Didn't they remove mk9 from steam because it had licensed characters? Or was it a different reason?

@GarbonZoni That got criticism because that had on disc DLC. The first character Homelander isn't due till next year so clearly he's not even finished or started being made yet.
INJUSTICE Rejects. I still like it though.
This is so cool I almost want to buy the game and I don't even like fighting games, Netherrealm always has the best DLC characters. I would plop down full price if I could play through the story mode as Peacemaker and Eagley.
