Talking Point: Would You Be Interested In Buying A New Xbox Series X Model?

With a little more than a month to go until Microsoft's new Carbon Black Xbox Series S console arrives, we're left wondering when the next Xbox Series X model could land. We've already heard from Phil & Co. that an 'upgraded' console of any kind is unlikely right now, but, what about just a simple colour change or even a basic SSD upgrade?

We've not heard a peep on new Xbox Series X hardware, even for the upcoming mega-launch that is Bethesda's Starfield. There's going to be an admittedly gorgeous controller, and some other Starfield bits and pieces, but a themed console doesn't appear to be forthcoming unless it's being saved for a Gamescom surprise or something.

The question is - would you be interested in buying a new Xbox Series X model anyway? Not an upgraded 'Pro' console or anything, but just a different design/colour scheme option - potentially with a bigger SSD like the upcoming Xbox Series S revision. If so, what would you like to see from it?

This writer fortunately owns the Halo Infinite Limited Edition Xbox Series X, having waited patiently for its arrival a year-or-so after the generation began, but we're surprised that nothing of note has launched since. Sure, we've seen plenty of 'custom' consoles that fans can win via competitions, but no sort of widely available new design.

If Microsoft were to launch a new Xbox Series X, would you be interested roughly three years into this console cycle? If you'd like to move on from your base console, what design/feature would you like to see Xbox implement?

Let us know the Xbox Series X model you're desperate to see down in the comments below!
